Karen Lee (Van Meter) Barrett, 71, Zellwood, originally lived in Wellsburg, West Virginia, went home to be with The Lord, Sunday, December 5, 2021, peacefully with her husband, Marvin Barrett, by her side. Karen was preceded in death by her parents George Van Meter and Mary (Jennings) Manley. She has three surviving brothers William, Steve, and Gary Van Meter. Karen’s greatest joys were spending time with her family, her pet Yorkie (Missy), grandchildren, great grandchild and serving her Lord and Savior with a humble heart. She was a long-time member of the Liberty Lighthouse Church of God. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Throughout her life, she also enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, and festivals. This was her favorite time of year, she always had and prepared Thanksgiving dinner at her house for the family and this year was no different. It was a great memorable event.
