Our beloved mother, loving sister, grandmother, aunt, and great aunt, Kathryn Ferrante peacefully returned to her husband Thomas Ferrante, her parents Henry and Margaret (Gollwitzer) Ehster, her sister and brother-in-law Marylyn (Ehster) and Dewey Carpenter, her brother Robert Ehster, and to other dear friends on October13, 2018. Kathy passed peacefully at her home in Orlando, Florida with her son and daughter present and with the love and support of literally hundreds of friends, neighbors, travel companions, clients, and angels all holding her in prayer and light.
Kathy was a resident of Central Florida for over 20 years. She was a Master Herbalist, a Doctor of Natural Healing, and ADL Minister, and a NAET Practitioner. She opened an herb store called Herbs N’ More in College Park in 1990. She ran a successful business there for 24+ years as well as tirelessly continuing to train and to gather more and more knowledge to help people with natural healing. Kathy had completed her service here on earth at only 73 years young. Even until her final weeks, she was always concerned about the health and well being of her family, friends, and clients.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Myers of Altamonte Springs; her son Duane Myers of Deland; grandsons Stephan and Andrew Myers; brother Ronald (Karen) Ehster; nieces and nephews: Ronald (Tracy), Teresa, Christopher, Scott Ehster, Suzan (Allan) Berg, Linda Carpenter, Joanne (Marc) Tarter; great grand nieces and nephews: Lisa (Leo) Uzcategui and their children Tyler, Jordan, Dylan, Carter; Michael (Nicole) Berg and their children Marylyn, Zachary, Dalton: David (Shawna) Berg and their daughter Lacy; and numerous other great grand nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Kathy’s extraordinary life will be held at Unity Church Orlando, 4801 Clarcona Ocoee Road, Orlando, FL 32810 on Sun, Oct 28th at 2:00pm with a gathering and luncheon to follow in Meyer Hall on the Unity Church property. She will be entombed with her husband Tom in Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia at a later date. A collection of Kathy’s many angels will be at the luncheon so that cherished friends may continue to enjoy a memory of Kathy with the gift of an angel, should they desire.
