Kathy Diane Davis Waters, 62, left her earthly body and stepped right into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. Kathy was born on May 24, 1960, in Jacksonville, Florida, grew up in Pine Hills, Florida, and made her home in Eustis, Florida. She is survived by her husband, Steve Waters, stepchildren Josh and Sarah, her father Jim Davis, mother Faye Davis, sister Lori Wolff, brother Keith Davis, sister Kelli Pharo, several brothers- and sisters-in-law, three step-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephew.
Known for her creativity, her entrepreneurial spirit, and her bold, unwavering love of God and people, Kathy was an avid metal-detector; nature, sports, and family photographer; beta fish breeder, shower, and judge; musician; baker; and Color Street pusher…err…rep. She ventured many avenues over the years.
She cared for everyone, from every walk of life. She took meals and blankets to the homeless, and she knew each one’s name and story. She showed up for every nieces’ and nephews’ games, recitals, birthdays, and graduations. She always remembered the little things and went the extra mile.
If you knew Kathy, you knew to never sell her short. Her Christmas cranberry bar recipe went with her to heaven. Her pistol is probably still under the seat of her car. The stray cat population of Eustis will need someone to pick up charge of their care. And hopefully a new body will fill her empty seat at church (that would make her the happiest).
She was direct, because she had been there, done that, and she knew Jesus was the answer. No matter what. She held onto faith for herself and for everyone else she knew. She was tough, and she was probably right.
Kathy loved Jesus. Jesus loved Kathy. Or more accurately, Kathy loves Jesus and Jesus loves Kathy. She’s sitting with him now. And she’d love all of us to join her someday.
A memorial service in Kathy’s honor will be held at a later date at Trinity Evangelical Free Church, 890 Abrams Road, Eustis, Florida.

Kim and Hartley Graves says
We were so sorry to hear that Kathy had recently been ill, and that she has left this world all too soon. Although we know she is so happy being in the presence of Jesus, our heart and prayers goes out to Steve and the rest of Kathy’s family. We hadn’t seen her in a few years, but had the good fortune to have happened upon her at a booth at the Thursday morning market, not too many months before. It was a slow morning, so we were able to spend a little time visiting and catching up with one another. Kathy’s faith has always been an inspiration, and we know we will all meet again one day. Praying for your strength and comfort Steve. Always in His Love, Hartley and Kim

I didn’t have opportunity to spend as much time with Kathy as I would have liked. But, through the brief encounters we did have with one another – I think, Kathy and I developed a heart bond – especially through prayer. Kathy could be frank, and cut to the chase – not putting up with egotistical superficialities. She was compassionate, caring and courageous. I think of Kathy as a dearly beloved sister in Christ. I know she’s joyfully in Heaven – finally free from Earthy pain and concerns. I’ll miss Kathy, and honor her remembrance.
