With profound sadness we announce heaven received another angel on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 when Lois Alice (Arlene) Beasley, 86, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family at her bedside.
Lois Alice (Arlene) Beasley, AKA Gunny or Gum Gum is survived by Jack P. Beasley, her husband of 66 years. She was a beloved mother and is also survived by her daughter Sharon (Raymond) McLeod of Casselberry, Florida and her son Jon (Deborah) Beasley of Palm Harbor, Florida. Grandchildren include Becki Fasano, Robert (Dayna) Wells, Ryan Wells, Brent Beasley, Brooke Beasley, Austin McLeod, Ariel (Eric) Calhoun, Ashley (Dallas) Frazier, Carmela Forlizzo and great-grandchildren, Madisyn Fasano, Riley Wells and Kynlee Frazier.
Arlene was a true peacemaker and always had a sweet smile and kind words for everyone. She was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She lived a full life as a homemaker. After she raised her children, she valued her role as a teacher’s aide for special needs children as it suited her servant heart. Arlene loved to cook and claimed the kitchen as her own space. Potato salad was her signature side dish. Boston cream pie and her famous prune cake were favorite desserts at family gatherings. In her later years, you could always find her reading any book she could get her hands on, caring for love ones without complaint, spending time with grandchildren. She proudly displayed her collection of bells and loved butterflies. In summary, Arlene was an exceptional mother, devoted wife, and faithful friend.
Even though Arlene is no longer with us, we have a complete understanding and acceptance that she is in her heavenly home and we will cherish our memory of her always. A celebration of Arlene’s Life will be conducted at Loomis Funeral Home in Apopka, Florida at 11:30am on Saturday, February 13 then to Chapel Hill Cemetery Orlando. Celebration of Life reception immediately following at 609 North Forsyth Road Orlando.
