Louise (Lou) Wallace, 84 of Zellwood Station, left this earth on Monday, February 17, 2020. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Gerald. Lou has five children, Patty (Bruce) Ward, Kathy (Ron) Cates, Jerry (Lori) Wallace, Ed Wallace and Phil Wallace. She has seven grandchildren, Stephanie (Chuck) Davis, Kevin (Shawna) Ward, Marc Wallace, Jennifer (Brandon) Cates, Brett (Samantha) Ward, Megan Wallace and Ashley Wallace. Lou also proudly boasted of her eight great grandchildren – Chris, Marshall, Crystal, Carter, Eva, Ryker, Alexis and Skylar. She is also survived by one brother, Lenvil (Hilda) Orick of Virginia and one sister Geneva (Earl) Vickers of South Carolina. Lou has dozens of nieces of nephews who also were recipients of the strong love she had for her family.
Lou and Gerald raised their family in the Pine Hills area in the 1960’s, 1970’s and 1980’s. During this time she served on the Board of Directors of the Pine Hills Little League and had a term of President during that time period. Her passion was doing for others. In her final 20 years of life, she lived in Zellwood Station where she served on many community boards. She also served as President of the Banbury Village within Zellwood Station. Her proudest achievement in Zellwood Station was serving as Chairperson of Veteran’s Day Celebration which she brought to Zellwood Station and served for 15 years.
A memorial service will be held for Lou on Saturday, February 29 at 11:00 a.m. at the Depot in Zellwood Station.
