Marie J. Pugliesi, 79, of Orlando, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014. She was born December 05, 1934 in Passaic, New Jersey. She was a Food Manager in the Education Industry; member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Apopka; Vice President of the CCW; member of the Prayer Chain. Mrs. Pugliesi was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, in 2012. Mrs. Pugliesi is survived by her son, Edward Anthony Pugliesi of Orlando; sisters, Rosarie of Ocoee and Josephine of Apopka.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
