Minnie Belle Campbell, 95, of Apopka, Florida passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 19, 2022.
Belle was born in Spout Springs, Virginia, daughter of Alfred and Mary Higginbotham.
In 1952 she married Roy C. Campbell and being a military spouse traveled with him and their children to his deployments which included Texas, Alaska, Massachusetts, Virginia and Japan before retiring to Florida.
Belle was one of the original employees at Liggett Miracle Drug Store in Palm Plaza. She was employed as a pharmacy technician for 25 years. She was also employed at Eckerd’s and CVS.
She liked to crochet and had an amazing ability to grow any type of plant.
She is preceded in death by her husband Roy C. Campbell and her son Patrick Campbell.
In addition to her husband and son she is preceded in death by her brothers Orville, Harry, Cecil and Travis Higginbotham and her sister Margaret Shugdinis.
She is survived by her children Susan Campbell, Ginny (Jerome) Hutching, Roy (Rhonda) B. Campbell; daughter in law Ella; brother Robert Higginbotham and sister Rosa Cyrus; grandchildren Shannon (James) Deter, Larry (Cynthia) Campbell, Joshua (Dawn) Hutching, Adam (Lsheshea) Campbell, James (Olivia) Hutching, Beth (Jason) Campbell; as well as great grandchildren Brianna Hannett, Elaina Campbell, Jaxon Hutching, Diana Belle Hutching, Marley Dixson, Jacob Hutching, and Maddy Hutching knew Granny Belle always had time for them.
She was a kind and generous person, always willing to help anyone.
Belle enjoyed her Saturday morning breakfast at Steak-N-Shake with her friend Mary McNeely.
There will be no services. A celebration of life will be scheduled for a later time.
