Patricia Barnes Thomas joined her heavenly Father on February 7, 2023 at the age of 83 years old. She was born on July 30, 1939 in Pine Castle, Florida and spent most of her life between Titusville, Orlando and Cocoa. Pat was blessed to be raised by two Godly parents. Her father Francis Barnes (Pop Pop) was a plant supervisor for Correct Craft Boat Company and built boats for 42 years. Her mom Margaret Barnes (Gammie) was a stay-at-home mom. She shared her childhood with her only sibling and best friend Joyce Hebert.
She was married to her husband Robert (Bob) Thomas for 65 years. Pat & Bob enjoyed spending time on the water and owned many types of boats including ones for skiing, fishing, and cruising. They both enjoyed the intercoastal and loved to watch boats cruise down the inlet at Fort Pierce. She was especially fond of all kinds of light houses. They purchased an air conditioning company, Weirich Air and worked together as a team in this family run business. For over 30 years they managed Smokey Hunting Club in Daytona Beach. The couple loved going out to eat, watching westerns, and spending time with family & friends!
Pat was loved by many and was called by many names including Trish, Sissy, Mom, and Grandma. Pat leaves behind four precious children, Robbie (Linda Winchester) Thomas, Paula McKinnon, Carla (Dennis) Haven, and Mark (Jennifer) Thomas, sister Joyce (Kenny) Hebert, and grandchildren Kevin (Lisa) Thomas, Ricky Brooks, Crystal Freeman, and Kyle Thomas and great grandchildren Dixie, Addyson and Bella. She was preceded in death by her parents Francis & Margaret Barnes and her son in law Bobby McKinnon.
Patricia believed in Jesus Christ and is united with her Savior in heaven.
