Mrs. Shirley E. Slagter

Shirley E. Slagter, 85, of Tavares, Florida passed away on April 15, 2020.  Mrs. Slagter was born on June 30, 1934 in New Sharon, Iowa.  She was married to her loving husband of 66 years, Melvin.  Mrs. Slagter moved from Waterloo, Iowa to Lake Worth, Florida in 1984 until retiring and moving to Zellwood Station in Zellwood, Florida.  She was devoted to the Lord, Jesus Christ, her family, Dutch heritage as well as the Rolling Hills Community Church in Zellwood, Florida. Mrs. Slagter is survived by her loving husband Melvin Slagter; children Steven J. Slagter, Robert A. (Kim) Slagter, Dennis E. (Jan) Slagter, and Mark W. (Saundra) Slagter; siblings Lester (Fran) Spoelstra, Helen Sergeant and Ronald (Lola) Spoelstra; grandchildren Jenna Liao, Christa Blackstone, Kayla Slagter, Jordan Slagter, Meagan Slagter, Kelsi Goodrich, Keenan Goodrich and Halee Goodrich; and great grandchildren Aliya Liao, Elijah Liao, Cora Blackstone and Micah Goodrich.
