Mrs. Stephanie “Momma” Andrews
Stephanie I. Andrews, 62, of Oakland, Florida passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, November 12, 2021.
Stephanie was born on June 30, 1959 in Wilmington, Delaware full of self-determination and an essence of free spirit. At the ripe age of 12 she met her loving husband, which flourished from friendship to an everlasting love. From their first apartment together through living in her Florida dream home, she continued to cherish their time together at every turn. She raised her family with an abundance of tenderness and a slight touch of mama bear when needed – never wavering in her dedication to her children. Being able to spend time with and dote over her three beautiful grandchildren was also a blessing she was thankful for every day. Watching them grow brought her great joy, often chuckling with nostalgia when her granddaughter reflected her daughter’s same traits. Momma’s impact on the world went beyond her family – showing the same warmth and compassion to every friend she encountered. She would give her time, energy, and a heart-rending hug to anyone in need. She was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she touched the hearts of many members. Although her time was cut short, her impact on those she loved will carry on.
Stephanie is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Cook and her father-in-law, George J. Andrews. She is survived by her husband, George S. Andrews I; children, George S. Andrews II and Christina (Michael) Fanelli; grandchildren, Gianna, Elias, and Benicio; siblings, Debbie Stone, Belinda Cook, and Leonard “Tito” Cook; mother-in-law Nancy Andrews; sister-in-law Sharon Andrews; brothers-in-law, James (Betty) Andrews, Scott (Wendy) Andrews; K-9 companion Huck; as well as many extended families, loved ones and friends.
Memorial services will be held 11am on Saturday December 18th at 8450 Silver Star Road, Orlando FL 34761 (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints). The services will be streamed online for the many out of state friends and family Stephanie had. A celebration of life party will also be held in Delaware at a later date.
