LOUDER, THERESA “TERRY” MARIE, 81, of Longwood, FL, passed away on August 10, 2013 at the Hospice of the Comforter. A beloved wife and mother of five, she dedicated her life to her husband and children. Terry was born October 3, 1931 in Altoona, PA, daughter of the late John and Mamie Douglas. As the matriarch of a Marine Corps family, Terry traveled the world for 33 years holding her family together while her husband was often deployed. As a devoted mother, she constantly volunteered with the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and PTA. She volunteered for a year as a tour guide at the home of Juliette Low Girl Scout National Center. As avid square dancers, Terry with Jim as the Caller were members of many clubs including the Apopka Pirates, and the Casselberry Hoedowners. Terry devoted 12 years to the students at the Apopka High School USMC JROTC while her husband, Jim was an instructor there. Terry was a member of the Florida Garden Railway Society and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Colonel Jim Louder, her daughter, Debra Palmer (Gary), her son, John (Laura), her son, Robert (Carol), her daughter, Donna Pittman (John), her son, Michael (Michelle), 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
