Gogga was active and enjoying life up until a week before her death. Complications from the flu and pneumonia were more than her asthmatic lungs could recover from. She was always full of life and enjoyed country music and traveling the country, and beyond, with her family. She had visited every state in the U.S. except Alaska. Her foreign travels included Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and Nova Scotia. She loved stock car racing and was known around the Florida short track circuit as “Racing Granny”, as she was always at the track or delivering racing engines all over the U.S. for her son Dennis Boyd of Boyd Racing Engines. She loved giving to her grandchildren and family, and will be missed by all.
