Kimberly Ann Torrey, 38, of Apopka, passed away Wednesday, September 03, 2014. She was born November 04, 1975 in Orlando, Florida. Ms. Torrey is survived by her father, James Torrey of Dunnellon; mother, Peggy Swearingen of Lake County; brother, James H. Torrey of Altamonte Springs; sister, Patricia Ryals of Lady Lake; grandmother, Betty Swearingen.
Her Journey’s Just Begun
Don’t think of her as gone away,
her journey’s just begun
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one
Just think of her as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days or years
Think how she must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away
And think of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched…
for nothing loved is ever lost
and she was loved so much!
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.

Your family has my deepest sympathy. I am so sorry for your loss. Though the pain must seem unbearable now because Kimberly was loved so much, please remember that you are not alone. Psalms 46:1 says, "God is our refuge and strength, a help that is readily found in times of distress." Pray to Him for strength. Weep to Him when there are no words. He will really help you (Isaiah 41:10) because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

Words cannot express the sorrow that I feel for you. No parent should ever have to lose a child. Our loving Creator knows how hard this is on you. We are told at In the book of Ezekiel “‘for I do not take any delight in the death of someone dying, is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord .” As you can see, He does not like death anymore than we do. It is not his will for us to die which is why He has given us the hope of everlasting life! (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Rev. 21:3, 4). As the God and Father of tender mercies, He wants you to find comfort in Him through prayer (2Cor 1:3).
