Lois Virginia Wince, 84, of Apopka, passed away Friday, December 06, 2013. She was born September 22, 1929 in Carter, Kentucky and moved to Central Florida 20 years ago from Cambridge, OH. She worked as a Therapeutic Program Worker for the State of Ohio. Ms. Wince is survived by her daughter, Peggy Nuhn of Apopka; sisters, Alice Lucille Roberts, Linda Lou Guillion and Loretta Faye Davis; brothers, James F. Haney and Rufus G. Haney; grandson, Andrew Gunnell.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
