Maria Margarita Torres Rodriguez, 81 passed away on April 28, 2022 in Eustis, Florida, after a long
battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Born on October 25, 1940 in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico she was the daughter of Santos Isolina Marcano and Angel Torres. She attended high school in Camden, NJ and went on to pursue a career in the medical field where she retired at the age of 61 from Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, California as a Pharmacy Technician, before moving to Orlando, Florida.
She enjoyed traveling, the theater, going to the beach and hanging out with friends and family but her true passion was dancing. Margie, as she was fondly known by, was the life of the party and had a smile that would light up a room. She was famous for taking pictures everywhere she went, as she was so photogenic and always lipstick ready. She trulytouched everyone who came in contact with her but will be remembered for her big hugs and affection.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her children, Raynaldo Santiago, (Evelyn), Maria Rodriguez, (Mike) and Lisa Snow, (Billy), 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Gladys Schneider and Santitos Richardson, predeceased by her brother, Pedro Juan Torres and stepfather, Ignacio Rodriguez, along with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
On behalf of the family, we would like to thank everyone here today on celebrating the life of Maria Margarita Rodriguez and for those who have sent their condolences. We have received countless phone calls, texts, meals and prayers. They have been both comforting during this difficult time and have been a reminder of the impact that Margie had on so many others.
