Melissa Marie Nethercutt, 43, of Mt. Dora, passed away Saturday, July 05, 2014. She was born January 06, 1971 in Warren, Ohio and spent most of her life here in Central Florida. Melissa was an Accountant. She had a zest for life and most would tell you that she was a free spirit.You could always find her spending time outdoors, whether she was at the beach, fishing or just spending time outside. Melissa loved her family and close friends. Melissa is survived by her parents, Daniel and Mary Nethercutt; children, Tyler Ash, Dillon Ash, who is currently fighting for his life at ORMC, and Kayla McPherson; siblings, Dan Nethercutt, Daniel Nethercutt, Chris Nethercutt, Julie Bottles, David Nethercutt and Kevin Stamper; four grandchildren, Tysen Ash, Zoey Ash, Cale Hambey and Karsen Antley-Ash.

    As I sit here with tears in my eyes, I realize how much I miss you already. It has only been a week and it is heavy on my heart. We were cousins by marriage around the age of 10/12, became best friends as we spent many summers together as teenagers and felt more like sisters as we became adults. We shared every trial and struggle we each went through. I could always depend on you to give me your honest opinion followed by a big beautiful smile and "Its going to be okay, you just need to pray about it." You could light up a room just by entering it. Always trying to make people feel included that may have felt like they were outsiders. This past week was sure a struggle and I hope I didn't disappoint you with any of the decisions I had to make. With every turn, I tried to put you first and what I thought you would want for your kids and family members as well as friends. It sure wasn't easy trying to get in your head…lol. I just hope you know that with every fight I fought this week, it was with you in mind. I love you girl and you will always be a part of my heart. I will forever miss you and I cannot wait to see your smile again. Nobody smiles like you do!!! I know you are dancing on those golden streets of Heaven and pulling everyone up to dance with you.     Mom I remember when I was upset you used to say everything will be okay. . And everything ended up being okay. . I will askes love you and respect you. . Your were the best mom any girl could ever get. . I dont know why this happened. . I wish It didnt but today I will get to see that beautiful face that I seen everyday and stop will in pictures. .     Melissa……You went to soon! I want to thank you for the oppty. to be a stepmom to your two boys Tyler and Dillon. They came into my life at tender ages, I took them in as one of my own we bonded from the begining. My daughter was just an infant at the time and to this day she still calls them her brothers. The kids have always loved one another and still do almost 20 yrs. later. Your boys love you very much and they are going to miss you deeply. I will be there for them with encouragement, understanding, love and an open heart as they grieve over you being gone way too soon. You are loved and you will be missed! Rest In Peace!
