November 19, 1957 — March 6, 2025

Clermont

With hearts full of gratitude for a well-lived life, we celebrate the homegoing of Sherry Glaser Slaughter. Sherry was called home to her eternal reward on March 6, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of faith, well-timed humor, a staunch desire for organization, and an unwavering devotion to her Savior. She was a devoted servant of the Lord, a cherished and adored wife, mother, grandmother, and a steadfast friend to those who knew her.

Sherry began her earthly life on November 19, 1957, in Dayton, Ohio, with parents Nancy and Paul Glaser Jr. At the age of 14, Sherry became a Florida native when her family relocated to Miami, Florida. She then went on to graduate from Miami-Dade High School in 1976. Sherry welcomed her daughter, Christina, in 1978, with her first husband, David. Sherry found her passion for serving others as a legal secretary and pursued a degree as a paralegal. In 1995, she met the love of her life, Bill, where they shared 29 years of love, adoration, and devotion for one another.

Sherry is survived by her husband, William Slaughter of Clermont; daughter, Christina Franklin; and grandsons, Zachary and Branden of Atlanta; mother, Nancy Carnahan of Orlando; brother, Steven Glaser of Miami; sister, Susan Williams of Dallas; her precious dachshunds, Snickers and Ginger of Clermont; and numerous brothers and sisters in Christ.

A celebration of Sherry’s life will be held on April 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Living Hope Church, 950 7th Street, Clermont, Florida 34711.
