Valda Victoria Kemp, 67, of Apopka, Florida lost her courageous fight with liver cancer on April 17, 2024. She was born in Miami Beach, Florida on February 25, 1957. Valda is survived by the love of her life of 41 years, best friend and partner in marriage, Eric Kemp; her daughter Cherry Radonski and son-in-law John Radonski of Custer, Washington. Valda is preceded in death by her mother Virginia Singletary, father James Singletary and brother Fred Moody.
The family wishes to thank all the friends and family that were there for Valda over the years, with special love and gratitude to Becky Berdahl, a great friend and neighbor of over 40 years and Crystal Pierce who introduced Valda to Eric in 1983. Valda’s wonderful sense of humor and gorgeous smile made everyone around her feel welcomed, special, and loved. Not a day will go by that we will not miss her and the love she showered on us all.
A celebration of life is not yet planned.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
